Artist's Statement

The primary reason that I am an abstract painter is that I like  the suspense of not knowing how a painting will resolve itself. The  creative process reminds me of having the urge to travel to somewhere  new, the inevitable problem solving along the way and finally, the  realization that the destination was not anything like the one you had  envisioned. I usually don’t know what the experience has meant to me  until some time afterwards, and I like that too.

Wondering where I’ll travel next - that’s what keeps me painting.
